this is the near last serial number and final printed UK £50 from the bailey issue
from now on all new notes will have the new style and new signature chris salmon
as everyone know only the new £50 is available all other notes in the series are still not ready

here is two new additions to my collection

this banknote is the emergency one pound note from WWII
dated around 1940 to 1945

and this is the normal one pound note after the war dated 1950

another english banknote

this is the one pound english banknote issued from 1971 to 1982

these banknotes were still in circulation up until 1988
this was because in 1983 we had changed from the one pound note to the one pound coin

old english banknote

here is a nice old 1950 beale one pound note

the serial number is the last run number
as you can see the queen's portrait was never on these notes
but she did get put on the later banknotes..
